Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head lettuce
    1/4 c. bell pepper
    1 large can English peas, drained
    mayonnaise
    4 eggs, boiled (fine chopped)
    Cheddar cheese, grated (enough to cover salad)
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Shred enough lettuce to well cover bottom of bowl to be used. Sprinkle bell pepper over lettuce.
    Add English peas over bell pepper.
    Beat enough mayonnaise with a pinch of sugar to sweeten it, to cover English peas.
    Add finely chopped eggs and cover with Cheddar cheese.
    Top with bacon bits.
    Cover and refrigerate until well chilled.
