Meatball Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef or ground turkey
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 can kidney beans with liquid
    2 1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 c. sliced celery
    1/4 c. uncooked macaroni
    1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley or 1 Tbsp. dry
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, combine meat, egg, onions, crumbs, salt and pepper.
    Shape into 30 one-inch balls.
    In a large saucepan, brown meatballs on all sides.
    Drain excess fat.
    Add remaining ingredients, except macaroni and parsley.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Add macaroni; simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Stir in parsley.
    Makes 2 quarts.
