Two-Way Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3 c. cooked, cubed chicken or ham
    4 c. cooked noodles
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook onion in butter until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
    Pour into 2-quart shallow baking dish (12 x 8 x 2-inch).
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until hot; stir.
    Top with cheese.
    Bake until cheese melts.
    Makes about 7 cups.
