Ingredients

ripe elderberries
1 lb. sugar
12 cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Gather ripe elderberries.
Cover with water and stew well. To every pint of the juice, add one pound sugar, cloves, ginger and cinnamon.
Boil for 1/2 hour and bottle when cool.
