Green Beans And Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
    4 oz. thick sliced bacon (lean), cut into 1-inch pieces
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fill 4-quart saucepan half full of water; bring to boil.
    Add green beans; cook, covered 8 minutes.
    Meanwhile in 12-inch skillet, cook bacon until brown.
    Remove bacon to paper towels. Pour off 2 tablespoons drippings from skillet.
    Drain beans, stir in drippings in skillet.
    Return bacon to skillet.
    Season with salt and pepper; cook and stir over medium heat 2 minutes.
    (I add chopped onion to bacon while its cooking).
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
