Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar plus 4 Tbsp.
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. boiling water
    4 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 eggs, separate yolks and whites
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    pinch of salt
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation
    Combine cornstarch and 1 cup plus tablespoon sugar; add water slowly, stirring until smooth and thick.
    Add egg yolks, butter, rind, juice and salt.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat stirring. Pour in shell.
    Cover with meringue made from 3 egg whites beaten stiff plus 2 tablespoons sugar.
    Bake 15 minutes at 300\u00b0 until light brown.
