Nancy'S One Dish Chicken-N-Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 frying chicken
    1/4 c. flour
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    1 onion, sliced
    sliced mushrooms (optional)
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 can cream of \"something\" soup (whatever you like)
    1 c. grated cheese
    3/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Dip
    chicken
    in
    flour; place skin side down in melted butter in
    a
    9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Bake, uncovered, in a 425\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Turn chicken; bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until tender.
    Add
    onions and mushrooms to chicken. Mix other ingredients
    and
    pour
    over chicken.
    Sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
    Cover
    with
    foil
    and
    bake
    15
    to
    20 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Serve
    with
    potatoes or rice.
    Note:
    Skinning and de-boning the chicken makes this dish fancier.
