Brown Stone Front Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    3 eggs
    1 c. butter or Crisco
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 sq. unsweetened chocolate or 3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. warm water
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Sift flour; add alternately with buttermilk.
    Dissolve chocolate and soda in warm water.
    Add to mixture.
    Grease three 8-inch layer cake pans and sprinkle with flour.\tBake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
