Caribbean Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. beef
    1 lb. pork
    1 lb. potatoes (white)
    1 lb. carrots, peeled and sliced
    1 green pepper, cut chunky
    1 red pepper, cut chunky
    1 Tbsp. oil (vegetable)
Preparation
    Season beef and pork to taste; let stand 1 hour.
    Heat oil in pot; add meats.
    Brown and cook, adding hot water, for 1/2 hour. Add other ingredients and cook for another 1/2 hour.
    Add Dumplings.
    Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve hot with vegetables or white rice.
    Serves 8.
