A Different Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. top round, cut 1/4-inch thick into 1/2-inch wide strips
    2 onions, chopped
    1 Tbsp. oil
    2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
    1 can beef consomme
    1/2 c. Sauterne
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    dash of nutmeg
    10 oz. noodles, cooked
    2 (8 oz.) cartons sour cream
Preparation
    Saute beef and onions in oil.
    Add mushrooms, consomme, Sauterne and seasonings.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    Add cooked noodles and sour cream.
    Bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 4 to 6.
