Kisses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 c. nuts or coconut (optional)
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and cream of tartar.
    Beat until stiff peaks form.
    Fold in vanilla and nuts or coconut, if desired.
    Drop with spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour.
