Raisin Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. brown sugar, packed
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine raisins and water; bring to boil.
    Set aside to cool. Blend shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add vanilla.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Add nuts and raisins last.
    Spread thin on greased and floured jellyroll pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 15 to 20 minutes. Ice while hot with icing of 10x sugar and water.
