1 c. unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for pan
2 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. mace
4 large eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. almond extract
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Grease a 10-inch tube pan and dust well with flour.
Shake out excess.
Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream butter in large bowl for 2 minutes with an electric mixer.
Gradually add sugar, beat until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each until yellow disappears.
