Dingbats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 lb. chopped dates
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. Rice Krispies
    small bag coconut
Preparation
    Melt butter, sugar and egg in pan until dissolved.
    Add dates and cook on low 10 minutes.
    Add pecans and cook 5 more minutes. Remove and add vanilla, Rice Krispies one cup at a time.
    Let cool and roll in balls in coconut.
