Granny'S Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    1/2 c. raw rice
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. raisins
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In the top of a double boiler, place milk and rice.
    Cook over medium heat and cover when not stirring.
    Stir quite often (it gives the pudding the smooth, creamy consistency).
    It will take 1 to 2 hours for mixture to cook and thicken.
