Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    1 c. milk
    1 c. water
    3 egg yolks, beaten (save whites for later)
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Combine sugar and flour.
    Add milk, water, egg yolks and margarine.
    Mix well.
    Cook in double boiler, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
    Remove from heat.
    Mix with electric mixer.
    Let cool; if too thick, add milk to thin.
    Add 1 teaspoon lemon extract or flavor to taste.
    Mix with electric mixer; let cool completely.
    Pour into cooled 9-inch pastry shell.
