Hamburger Bean Pot Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Great Northern or navy beans
    3 qt. water
    1 qt. tomatoes (or No. 2 can)
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. sliced carrots
    2 or 3 diced potatoes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 beef bouillon cube
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. okra (if desired)
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight.
    Add to water and bring to boil; simmer for about 2 hours.
    Add tomatoes, celery, carrots,
    potatoes, onion, bouillon, salt and pepper and simmer for 1 hour.
    Brown ground beef and add.
    Add rice.
    Add okra.
    Simmer at least 30 minutes.
    May need to add water if soup is too thick.
