Fiesta Tamale Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 lb. ground lean beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
    20 to 24 pitted ripe olives
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Heave oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large skillet, cook and stir ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.
    Stir in tomatoes, corn, olives and seasonings; heat to boiling.
    Pour into an ungreased baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2-inch or 2-quart casserole dish.
    Mix cornmeal, milk and eggs and spoon onto meat mixture.
    Sprinkle cheese on top.
    Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
