Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 cans red kidney beans
    1 can tomatoes, chopped
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. black pepper
    salt to taste
    1 c. water (or more)
Preparation
    Saute ground beef, onion and bell pepper (optional).
    Add remaining ingredients and simmer gently 20 to 30 minutes.
