Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell
    1 to 1 1/4 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine first three ingredients in a medium saucepan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and butter melts. Let cool slightly.
