Wine-Wassail Bowl - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    3 cinnamon sticks
    6 whole cloves
    8 allspice berries
    2 pt. cranberry juice
    2 c. orange juice
    1 c. lemon juice
    1 qt. Sauterne wine
Preparation
    Combine water, sugar and spices. Bring to a boil.
    Remove from heat and allow to stand for 1 hour.
    At the end of the hour, remove spices, if desired. Add fruit juices and wine.
    Heat to serve.
    Yields 3 quarts.
