Ice Cream Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 sticks melted butter or oleo
    2 c. flour
    1 c. quick oatmeal (uncooked)
    2 (8 oz.) jars caramel or butterscotch topping
    1/2 gal. vanilla or French vanilla ice cream (Breyer's or Edy's)
Preparation
    Mix sugar, pecans, butter, flour and oatmeal well and place on cookie sheet.
    Bake 15 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Crumble mixture while still hot (use fork).
    Place 1/2 of mixture in a 9 x 13-inch lightly buttered baking dish.
    (Set aside remaining mixture.)
    Pat down in dish and let cool completely.
