Baked Ham Strata(Makes 8 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices firm white bread
    3 Tbsp. butter or oleo, softened
    2 1/2 c. milk
    5 large eggs
    4 tsp. Dijon-style mustard
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
    3/4 lb. Swiss or Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
    1/4 lb. baked or broiled ham, diced
    3 green onions, trimmed, sliced and chopped
    green onion curls (optional)
Preparation
    Toast bread and spread on one side of each with butter.
    Cut toast into 3/4-inch pieces.
