Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    In a large mixer bowl, beat butter or margarine until softened.
    Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
    Add water and vanilla and beat well.
    Stir in flour and nuts.
    Shape into 1-inch balls or 1 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch fingers.
    Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for about 20 minutes or until done. Remove and cool.
    In a plastic bag gently shake a few at a time in powdered sugar.
    Makes about 45.
