Pepper Steak With Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak, cubed
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. catsup
    1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 box fresh mushrooms, chopped
    2 large green peppers, cut into rings
    2 medium onions, cut into rings
Preparation
    Brown beef cubes in shortening and remove from pan.
    Blend in flour to make a paste.
    Add catsup, water, soy sauce, bouillon, garlic, onion and green peppers; bring to boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer for 20 minutes.
    Add beef to sauce; simmer until tender. Add mushrooms.
    Cook until crisp-tender.
    Serve over hot, fluffy rice.
