Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed)
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 apples, chopped fine

Preparation

Cream butter and sugars.
Add buttermilk and eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together and add to first ingredients.
Add apples. Place in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Sprinkle topping on batter and gently press into dough.
