Stewed Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large tomatoes or 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. basil or parsley, chopped
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Place tomatoes and spices in a heavy saucepan over low heat and cook 20 minutes if using fresh tomatoes (only 10 minutes for canned tomatoes).
    Bread crumbs may be added if a thicker stew is desired.
