Fruit Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    2 c. dates
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. nuts
    3 1/2 c. flour
    2 c. candy cherries, cut in half
Preparation
    Mix sugar and margarine.
    Add eggs.
    Stir in buttermilk.
    Sift dry ingredients and add.
    Add pecans, cut up cherries and dates. Chill for 1 hour.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325\u00b0 until no imprint when touched.
    Makes 8 dozen.
    Keep dough chilled and bake as needed.
