Christmas Molasses Fruit Bonbons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/4 c. water
    3/4 (15 oz.) pkg. raisins
    1 lb. candied fruit
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. plus 8 Tbsp. flour, sifted
    1/8 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. each: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, cloves
    1/4 c. orange juice or brandy
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Blend molasses and water. Bring to boil slowly.
    Add raisins and bring to a boil.
    Boil 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in the rest of the fruit.
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs to creamy mixture.
