Barbecued Beef Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef shoulder or rump roast
    3 cloves garlic, peeled
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. red wine vinegar
Preparation
    If
    roast
    is tied, remove string and flatten.\tIn bowl slightly
    larger than the meat, mash garlic with salt, pepper, chili
    powder
    and\tthyme.\tGradually
    beat
    in
    oil;
    add the vinegar and
    stir well.
    Add meat to the marinade.\tPierce all over
    with\tlong
    fork
    so that seasoning will penetrate.
    Let stand
    in
    refrigerator several hours or several days, turning periodically.
