Ingredients

2 envelopes (2 Tbsp.) unflavored gelatin, softened in 1/2 c. cold water
2 1/2 c. skim milk
3 egg yolks
non-caloric liquid sweetener equal to 1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. instant coffee powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

In a medium saucepan, beat the milk and egg yolks.
Add sweetener, coffee powder, salt and softened gelatin.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens and gelatin is dissolved.
Chill until partially set.
