Everett'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. diced onions
    1/3 c. diced green pepper
    1/3 c. diced celery
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 c. diced potatoes
    3 c. water
    1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Saute onions, green pepper and celery in butter for 5 minutes. Add potatoes and water; cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Combine milk, cornstarch, salt and black pepper; stir into other ingredients until thick.
    Serve in warm bowl.
    Top with grated cheese.
