Flaky Pastry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening (Crisco is best)
cold water (approximately 6 Tbsp.)
Preparation

Mix and sift flour and salt.
Cut shortening into flour with 2 knives or pastry blender.
Add enough water to hold ingredients together, sprinkling it in evenly and mixing with a fork.
Wrap dough in waxed paper; chill 1/2 to 1 hour before rolling.
