Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. corn meal
1/2 c. flour
2 medium or 1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. cheese, grated
1 c. peppers, chopped
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 c. corn, drained
pimento, chopped (optional)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients together, add the rest of the ingredients to it and mix well.
Bake in skillet or muffin tins at 450\u00b0 until done.
This can also be used to make hushpuppies.
Just drop by spoonsful into hot oil and cook.
