Anise Biscuit Cookie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 c. sugar
    2 bottles anise extract
    3 eggs
    1 c. milk
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    walnuts (optional)
    1 can fruit
Preparation
    Grease an 11 x 5-inch pan.
    Spread the batter in strips.
    Pat the top of each strip with a little milk and sprinkle sugar on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until top is light brown.
    Cut into strips. Leave plain or top with confectioners sugar and water frosting, so it's not too sweet.
