Pickaninny Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten lightly
    4 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. baking powder
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix in order given, using only enough flour to make soft and pliable.
    Too much mixing toughens doughnuts.
    Roll a little at a time to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Fry in deep fat at 360\u00b0 for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned, turning several times.
    Makes approximately 30.
