Sugared Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. walnut halves
    1 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1/2 c. margarine
Preparation
    Toast nuts in 325\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
    Fold sugar and salt into beaten egg whites and beat until soft peaks form. Fold toasted nuts into mixture.
    Melt margarine in 10 x 15 pan (large cookie sheet will work).
    Spread nut mixture over margarine.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until nuts are coated with browned meringue mixture and no margarine remains.
