8 Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce, sliced
1 c. chopped celery
1 medium purple onion, sliced
1 small box petite peas, defrosted
1 chopped green pepper
4 chopped hard-boiled eggs
8 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 c. grated carrots
2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. grated cheese
Preparation

Layer first 8 ingredients in large glass bowl.
Mix in small bowl the mayonnaise and sugar.
Cover salad with mayonnaise mixture, coating to seal.
Do not toss.
Sprinkle grated cheese over mayonnaise.
Seal with plastic wrap and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Tastes better when made ahead!!
Great for groups and parties!!
