German Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size cabbage, quartered and sliced
    1 large onion, cut small
    2 large apples, cut small
    4 slices bacon, cut small
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    sugar, salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix all together and put in pot.
    Cover and boil until cabbage is tender.
    Even better as a leftover.
