Pineapple Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 1/2 c. rolled oats
    1 c. shortening
Preparation
    Cook together the sugar, cornstarch and crushed pineapple until thick and clear; set aside to cool.
    Mix together the flour, salt, brown sugar, rolled oats and shortening until crumbly. Spread 1/2 mixture in well-greased baking dish, then spread pineapple mixture with remainder of crumb mixture.
    Press down. Bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
