German Sauer Klopps (Sour Meat Balls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 egg
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    1/3 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. water
    1 small onion, chopped
    10 whole allspice
    1 bay leaf
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Mix the first 6 ingredients well and form into 1 1/2-inch meat balls.
    Bring water, onion, spices and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to a boil.
    Add meat balls and simmer until done, about 25 minutes. Remove meat balls and thicken broth with flour paste.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add sour cream and heat through, but do not boil.
    Return meat balls to gravy and heat.
    Serve with boiled potatoes.
