Light Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups sugar
    1 3/4 cup white corn syrup
    1 cup butter
    dash salt
    1 cup heavy whipping cream
Preparation
    Boil the above 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add 1 cup of heavy whipping cream boil to 248.
    Add 1 cup chopped nuts (optional).
    Pour with stirring into a buttered 9 x 13 pan let set until real cool then cut & wrap.
