Apple Macaroon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 apples (as required to fill pan)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. flour
    1 egg, beaten
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Butter a 9-inch pie plate and fill with sliced apples. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
    Mix together remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, salt, flour, beaten egg and margarine.
    Pour over apples (batter should be thick).
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
