Ingredients

1/2 c. plain flour
pinch of salt
1 c. brown sugar
2 large egg yolks (jumbo)
2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

In large saucepan, combine flour, salt, brown sugar and beaten egg yolks with milk; stir until mixed (use a wire whisk).
Bring to boil over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla; mix well.
Cool and pour into a baked pie crust.
Make meringue with egg whites and bake. Cool.
