Polenta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. instant polenta
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cook polenta following package directions.
    Pour on cutting board and let cool.
    Cut into squares.
    Arrange squares in buttered ovenproof casserole in layers.
    Pour melted shortening and sprinkle Parmesan on each layer.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until golden brown. Mangia!
