Butterscotch Pie(Recipe Of Mrs. Turley Noland, A Past President) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. scalded milk
    1 egg yolk
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook butter and brown sugar until rich brown; add scalded milk and simmer until sugar is dissolved.
    Whip in yolk of 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.
    Bake until custard is set.
    Make meringue, whipped with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
