Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. pkg. caramels
    6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. oil
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix cake according to directions on box.
    Add 1/4 cup oil. Pour half of batter into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Melt caramels and evaporated milk together. Pour over hot cake.
    Sprinkle chips and pecans on top.
    Pour on remaining batter.
    Bake for 30 minutes or more.
    Ice with your favorite chocolate icing.
