Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. fresh strawberries, hulled
1 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
red food coloring
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation

Crush 1 cup strawberries.
Add water; cook for 2 minutes. Strain.
Mix cornstarch with sugar.
Stir into hot mixture and boil.
Stir constantly until thickened and clear.
Add about 5 drops of red food coloring; cool to room temperature.
Place remaining berries, stem end down, in pie shell; pour glaze over berries.
Chill 2 to 3 hours.
Top with whipped cream.
