Savory Southern Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. bulk sausage
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2/3 c. milk
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed or use 1 can mixed vegetables
    1 recipe Savory Pastry
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. chicken broth
    2 c. cubed, cooked chicken
Preparation
    Brown sausage in saucepan; drain on paper towel.
    In same saucepan, melt margarine. Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Stir in chicken broth and milk. Cook until thickened. Add chicken, sausage and peas.
    Pour in a casserole dish. Top with pastry.
