Leona'S Nut Caramels(Margaret Wagner) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 c. half and half
    1 c. butter
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put sugar, syrup, whipping cream and butter in pot; stir until boils.
    Then add half and half.
    Place immediately in buttered pan.
    Refrigerate.
